It's been a while, I know........ did you all miss me ?
Well, I absolutely missed all of you......
Like a huge wave, sometimes we just get swept away by life, loosing for that moment a grip on what we really love to do, what we really intend to do.
Staying consistent in a world that is consistently changing in good and bad ways can be extremely challenging. So keep your MIND STRONG !!!
Of course, now I have one million interesting topics to share..... so let's get to it.
How does one express themselves through their Event ? Keep in mind some don't care..... they will just google it and keep it going.... and that is ok, if that is who they are or who their planner is.
It all comes down to CHOICES.....
In my opinion an event is the opportunity for a person to express themselves. It's being creative and innovative enough to fundamentally incorporate a part of yourself in your Event, it is being able to put a little bit of YOU, of your soul in a moment of bliss using items that everyone uses everyday...... that is TRUE EXPRESSION.
Being an event designer for so many years has permitted me to better understand people in general. How so would you ask? Well it's simple.
When I deal with people that are planning personal events such as weddings, communion, baptism , baby showers …... the host will express him or herself through that event , sometimes they want to express themselves but don't know how, that is where I come in.
Being able to express yourself in everything you do, is not an easy task, because one has to first know who they are. Some people don't know who they are, they just know who they want to be in that moment, the moment of their event. As a planner my job is not only to put together, a couple of chairs, tables, linen etc.... it's about being certain that the event expresses my client true intentions.
There are several ways one can choose to express themselves, I know your thinking the first thing is to choose a theme, NOPE!!!! a theme is something that is fictional it's basically for people that have no time to invest in creativity. Don't get me wrong, you can start of saying that you have a theme but you need to make it your own.
The most effective ways to express yourself are as follows::
To me it is a privilege to express oneself through an event, but if you choose not to it is good as well, as long as you as the host are satisfied with how everything is planned out, and organized. The Client's satisfaction should always be number one priority.
It is so good being back on the blog spot, may your Events be flawless and fabulous. Always keep in mind that life is only made of things to enhance your growth, so stay true and have MAD FUN...
Till next time,
xoxo Gueldy
